During the April 2021 general conference, Sister Susan H. Porter was called from the Relief Society general advisory council to serve as the First Counselor in the Primary General Presidency. From growing up in western New York, earning a degree in chemistry and working as a lab assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, to spending years in eastern Europe with her husband, Sister Porter brings unique experience and a powerful testimony to her new calling.

Through his paintings, Walter Rane has brought new life to religious art for Latter-day Saints and invited countless viewers to deepen their faith.

Last fall, Church leaders were brainstorming the possibility of recording a message of hope for Church members. After their meeting, President Nelson received a strong impression that he needed to record a message for the world, not just members of the Church. And the #GiveThanks video was born.

Last week, former Major League Baseball pitcher and mission president Jeremy Guthrie and his wife, Jenny, finished their full-time missionary service presiding over the Texas Houston Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
