Although anyone can feel the power of the Holy Ghost and be guided by it, it's not until we are baptized that we are promised the gift of the Holy Ghost: the ability for the Spirit to stay with us at all times if we are worthy to receive Him. This is a promise so incredible that at times it can be hard to wrap our minds around, much less apply. What, exactly, does it mean to have the gift of the Holy Ghost daily, and how can it help us?

What has the year 2020 meant thus far for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? Like all people everywhere, Latter-day Saints have dealt with the unforeseen and unexpected challenges of a pandemic. But what does that mean for the Church on a general level? Family sacrament meetings held in living rooms, missionaries accepting rapid reassignments and calls back home, and massive service projects like the creation of thousands of homemade face masks, to name a few things.

Like many things in 2020, BYU Education Week is moving to a virtual format this year.

On September 27, 2015, I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while attending Michigan State University. Before that, I wasn’t religious and struggled with many doubts—including whether God was even real. Now, five years later, I can easily see how Heavenly Father has been so good to me throughout my life, even when I wasn’t sure He was there.
