Be part of history: How to volunteer during the Salt Lake Temple Celebration

As I write this post, it is my mom’s 71st birthday. Three years ago she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s the day before her birthday. Two years after her diagnosis, I was visiting home. I wanted to get some details about the story of my birth from her while I still could. While the two of us were walking along the Stillaguamish River at Cascade Park, I asked her some questions. She didn’t seem to know what I was talking about and just gave some rambling, nonsensical answers. It felt like the memories were all gone and that I’d have to rely on my own memory of what I’d already been told.

The sacrament is an ordinance that we, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, can partake of every week. We take the bread and the water to remember our Savior and to renew the covenants we made with God at baptism. While the doctrine may be clear as to why we take it, does the order of partaking of the sacrament bread and water really matter?

Since the Church announced its plans to create a global youth conference program For the Strength of Youth on July 19, 2019, many have had questions about its implementation, including locations for the youth conferences, costs, registration, and other questions.

The Church recently released the dates for all churchwide events in 2020, including general conference, worldwide devotionals, and The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square performances.
