Elder Caussé explains why he keeps a $10 bill tucked inside his scriptures

Scott and Ryceejo Shattuck are not new to a cappella Disney mashups—their Hercules and Moana mashup has received over two million views. But this time the couple decided to tackle Disney's Tangled and Frozen by combining "For the First Time in Forever" with "When Will My Life Begin." About this video, Scott says, "As we were arranging, even we couldn't believe how much we found these two characters had in common. And it was so fun to re-imagine Anna as a male character for me to play."

Often we hear parents say, “If our family can just make it through this sports season, or this big project, or this school year, then we’ll be able to start spending more time together. We’ll be able to start living again.” Chances are, you’ve felt this way yourself. Like it or not, all too many families today are feeling increasingly overcommitted and underconnected.

On a dreary or chaotic day, a splash of color can lift spirits and instill optimism in a way that goes beyond words. Though evanescent, chalk art transforms dull sidewalks into works of art, creates lasting impressions, and reaches thousands in a way more conventional styles of art cannot. I wanted my Book of Mormon in my hands, holding it, and when I slept I wanted it under my pillow. With doctors telling us that I wasn’t going to make it. . . , I knew if I did live, it would be because of the blessings of the true gospel that the Book of Mormon teaches.” During the same seminar, Elder Holland also shared the greatest revelation God has ever given as well as the most important figure in the Book of Mormon.

Church members can experience a crisis of faith for a variety of reasons. Whether stemming from a discovery of an unflattering but true account of Church history, a negative interaction with a Church leader, or a recent change in the Church Handbook, each person’s reason is valid and should be treated as such. Here are ways those experiencing a faith crisis can cope, as well as ways loving members can support them.

Years ago, before the Church instituted the three-hour block schedule for our Sunday meetings, we used to go to the chapel for meetings three times every Sunday—once in the morning for priesthood meeting, a second time for Sunday School opening exercises and classes, and finally a third time for a ninety-minute sacrament meeting. When I was a very young man, our ward’s Sunday School superintendent, Brother Marchant, came to our class one Sunday to ask for volunteers who would be willing to give the prayer, the 2½-minute talks, and the sacrament gem (a verse of scripture shared before the sacrament was passed) in the following week’s Sunday School opening exercises. My strategy was to quickly volunteer to say either the prayer or the sacrament gem. I was motivated by the desire to avoid having to give a talk at all costs! Unfortunately for me, I wasn’t the only person in the class with that strategy, and I missed out on my first choice, the prayer. I was quick enough, however, to score the sacrament gem assignment. Given the other alternative, I felt lucky.
