Listen: Latter-day Saint wife and mother shares beautiful final testimony before passing away

LDS Living - Of this week’s All In podcast, host Morgan Jones wrote the following:  "On December 16, 2020, I interviewed Rebecca Hirschi for this week’s podcast. I knew going into the interview that it would be unlike any interview I had ever done. I have interviewed people who were sick before, but Rebecca had been placed on hospice and knew she likely only had 2–3 months left to live. Throughout the entire interview, I thought of what an honor it was to interview someone who was so close to heaven—someone who would soon have a conversation, one I imagine to be similar to...

An article published in December by FamilySearch discusses the topic of anxiety journaling. The article explains the journal itself doesn’t have to be anything unique, just a spot where you can document your feelings. “Journaling has been shown to help individuals handle stress,” the article reads. “It gives you time to make sense of all the rushing thoughts and emotions that come with anxiety. Consistent journaling may also help you get...

Latter-day Saint psychologist: What the First Vision teaches about managing personal challenges

Dr. David T. Morgan, Contributor - This article was originally published by  LDS Living in March 2020.  Many years ago, I recall hearing President Spencer W. Kimball state that each time he participated in a temple endowment, he learned something new. I thought to myself, How is this possible? He’s surely heard the endowment presentation hundreds if not thousands of times. How could he gain fresh knowledge each time?  I’ve since come to understand that the Holy Ghost teaches us different things at different seasons, depending on our preparation and readiness to hear. During the bicentennial year commemorating Joseph Smith’s First Vision, my thoughts turned to this...
