Over thirty years ago President Benson challenged Church members to keep reading the Book of Mormon daily, along with their other scripture studies. Similarly, President Hinckley invited Latter-day Saints in August 2005 to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year, and President Nelson extended the same invitation to the women of the Church in the last October Conference. If we add in our regular reading of the Book of Mormon in Sunday School, Seminary, Institute, and missionary scripture study, that’s a lot of times through 1 Nephi to Moroni.

A man accused of forcing four missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to give him money — essentially kidnapping and robbing them at knife and gunpoint — now faces eight first-degree felonies.

"My father was a Catholic," Elder Bednar said after many toured the Rome Italy Temple, including a Catholic delegation. "As a young man, he aspired to be a priest. His influence on the events that led to Richard Nixon’s resignation, the first-ever resignation from a U.S. president, is undeniable. Since Watergate, he has written many books, been portrayed in a Hollywood movie by Robert Redford, and appeared on countless network news programs, but on Monday, he sat down with Elder D. Todd Christofferson. During Watergate, Elder Christofferson was a young law clerk for Judge John J. Sirica and was among the first to listen to President Nixon’s White House tapes. Together, Woodward and Elder Christofferson relived their experiences surrounding Watergate, discussing specifically why integrity and trust matters in government today.
