The phrase “choose the right” isn’t found anywhere in scripture. Instead, there are only similar phrases like “choose the good” (Isaiah 7:15-16) or “choose the things that please [God]” (Isaiah 56:4). As much as we love things from the past, sometimes they can look a little dated. The original CTR ring from the 1970’s was great at the time; along with cassette players, perms and platform shoes. We’ve moved on.

Short of creating The Tower of King Benjamin or putting missionary name tags on the It’s a Small World dolls and having them sing “Called to Serve,” it’s hard to make Disneyland any more appealing to Mormons. With family-friendly stories, rides, and characters and a positive, clean-fun kind of atmosphere, it sounds a bit like a Latter-day Saint haven.
