Why Andy Reid says conducting the Tabernacle Choir was one of the highlights of his life

Six months ago, CC Sampson felt inspired to write a song titled "Show Me How," one that says, "Please help me Lord, I need Thee now." Sampson had no way of knowing just two months later she would need those words more than ever when her 2-year-old son was hit and killed by a car just three days before his third birthday.

It's no secret that many people use LEGOs to construct amazing gospel-related structures including a six-foot model of the Christus,portraits of the prophets, and scenes from the Book of Mormon or gospel life. No one can say Mormons lack creativity, and that extends to even the youngest members.

Many Mormons have their own unique ways of viewing conference. Some build epic LEGO creations, others jot down inspiration that looks more like a work of art than notes.

This story reflects this powerful quote from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland: "When we speak of those who are instruments in the hand of God, we are reminded that not all angels are from the other side of the veil. Some of them we walk with and talk with—here, now, every day."

What a beautiful reminder that we won't always be in the same place spiritually for every general conference, and when we run into difficulties, we should be patient with ourselves and find ways to receive inspiration without becoming overwhelmed. As Koby Dudley reminds us,"It is important to recognize that the purpose of conference is to guide and edify us. This can be done in a myriad of ways. Heavenly Father loves us and knows us individually. So we aren’t expected to all learn and love in the same way."
