What Pres. Freeman would tell every young woman considering a mission

Everyone had a distinct, life-altering experience that day, offering us something to remember when we hear the admonishing phrase to “never forget” September 11.

Polygamy can sometimes feel like a taboo topic among Latter-day Saints. Some might feel obligated to defend the religious practice and others might feel that they have to accept it. So how do we deepen our understanding of this part of Church history—and more importantly, those who lived it?

In October 2018, it was my first general conference working for the Church News. As their web producer, I helped make talk summaries from the speakers go live in real time on our website. This could be both stressful and exciting—there are a lot of moving parts and long hours, but it was also rewarding being part of a dedicated team helping to make conference accessible to people everywhere.
