Why I’m so grateful someone pushed through awkwardness to serve

When the First Presidency suspended church services until further notice, Latter-day Saints around the world were faced with an unanticipated situation. However, this is not the first time Church leaders have taken such measures.

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake hit Utah on Wednesday, March 18, causing power outages, damage to buildings, and closure of the Salt Lake International Airport.

Residents of the greater Salt Lake area were jolted awake this morning by a 5.7 magnitude earthquake. Deseret News reported that there were multiple aftershocks following the earthquake felt across the valley.
