‘I wouldn’t go back’: Why this husband and wife are profoundly grateful for their unmet healing

Recently, President Russell M. Nelson released a statement urging Latter-day Saints to be more conscientious of how we refer to the Lord's Church. "The Lord has impressed upon my mind the importance of the name He has revealed for His Church, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have work before us to bring ourselves in harmony with His will," he said.

As Latter-day Saints, we are all about families, so we tend to take parenting and raising children very seriously. But that doesn't mean we can't laugh at all the crazy things or treasure all the sweet moments that come with raising kids.

Many years ago, a young man (he was only 23 years old) was called to be the new stake president in Tooele, Utah. In those days, stake conferences had two sessions, and at lunch between the sessions, Joseph F. Smith, one of the General Authorities attending, said to the new stake president, “You said you believe the gospel with all your heart, and propose to live it, but you did not bear your testimony that you know it is true. Don’t you know absolutely that this gospel is true?”

Latter-day Saint Gladys Knight, the Empress of Soul, recently reflected on the life of an icon in the music industry Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul. On CNN, Knight praised Franklin, saying, "She had a voice that was God-given and she used it to the best of her abilities and to all kinds of heights."

Kellys Fandiño's mother bought a book she would later discover was the Book of Mormon; the entire family fell in love with the gospel teachings it contained. After they were baptized, their dedication to the gospel only became stronger, especially when Kellys's younger sister decided to serve a mission.
