Last general conference, President Nelson announced a new symbol for the Church. The prophet’s explanation for the new symbol is in harmony with his call for correct usage of the name of the Church— it is a refocusing on Christ, not on rebranding. Of the symbol President Nelson said,

When leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints lift the temporary suspension of weekly worship services, Church members around the world will again enjoy the centrality of the meetinghouse to their Sabbath experience.

President Russell M. Nelson, Elder D. Todd Christofferson, Elder Ronald A. Rasband, President Bonnie H. Cordon, and Sister Michelle D. Craig share messages of gratitude, honor, and love for all women in commemoration of Mother’s Day on their social media accounts. The leaders highlight the many unique gifts, talents, and power that women bring to move families, communities, and the world for good. They also express their deep gratitude for all women throughout the world who take part in the many unique and diverse facets of motherhood, noting the challenges that often accompany the divine role.

Mark Pope, head men’s basketball coach at Brigham Young University, is well known for his six seasons with the NBA. He's also a favorite among BYU fans, considering his positive energy and successful start at the university—for the first time since 2011, the BYU basketball team earned a ranking in the Top 25.

The name “Bradley R. Wilcox” may have sounded familiar to many Latter-day Saints when he was announced as a member of the new Young Men general presidency in general conference, and rightly so. Brother Wilcox is widely known for his work at BYU and as a speaker and an author. President Steven J. Lund and Brother Ahmad S. Corbitt, however, are newer names to most Latter-day Saints. A brief question and answer session helps introduce the new presidency by showing their excitement over their new calling.

Elder Christofferson recently spoke about the need to for a “constant consciousness of the well-being of those around you.” He specifically highlighted the struggles single adults and single parents face while in isolation and how members can minister them.
