On June 5, 2002, 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart woke to a strange voice in her room saying, "I have a knife at your neck. Don't make a sound. Get up and come with me." What ensued was nine months of rape and abuse at the hands of her captors, Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Barzee. About these months, Smart said, "There wasn't a single day I didn't pray. . . It was the hardest time of my life, without a doubt, but at the same time, it was one of the most spiritual times of my life because I felt my Savior's presence so strongly in my life."

Latter-day Saint dancer Jensen Arnold placed second in last night’s finale episode of So You Think You Can Dance. Although she didn’t win the entire competition, Arnold is thrilled for first-place winner Hannahlei Cabanilla and is grateful for her time on the show.

Latter-day Saint musicians Wayne Burton and Hanna Eyre, who blew away judges on The Voice in 2018, teamed up to perform an original song, "Fragile." This song was written to remind "us that we are important and stronger than we think but that we should also consider those around us may have deeper struggles and wounds than we think."

On the 10th anniversary of 9/11 the Mormon Channel created a video sharing the inspiring story of one survivor and how The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his faith helped him grapple with the guilt and trauma he experienced after the terrorist attacks.
